On not Going to Kyoto

for Ajahn Munindo

even the promise
of sushi and cherry blossom
won’t lure me to go

I am questioning
‘lure’ and ‘go’ so given that
better stay at home

everything I need
I can let come and find me
not too close or far

the relief of not
longing, not wanting another
country to change me

isn’t there blossom
to tend in my own garden
a fresh pot of tea?
