Linda France

Linda France was born in Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne, and for the past 20 years has lived close to Hadrian’s Wall, near Corbridge in Northumberland.  She works as a poet, tutor, mentor and editor, often collaborating with visual artists.  Since 1990 her poetry has won many awards and her publications include The Simultaneous Dress, The Toast of the Kit Cat Club (both Bloodaxe), book of days, a ‘year renga’ (Smokestack) and You are Her (Arc). Her latest collection, Reading the Flowers (Arc), charts a long journey exploring thirteen of the world’s Botanical Gardens.
